Mullite Insulation Brick

Lightweight mullite brick ingredients: The production of lightweight mullite bricks uses sawdust, foamed polystyrene granules and their mixtures as additives for burning. Ingredients according to the formula, when batching, first dry mix clinker, industrial alumina and kaolin in the mixing tank for 2-3 minutes according to the proportion, and then add additives and binders (additional), stir while adding, and use the trapped material for 24 hours after stirring well.

Product description

Lightweight mullite bricks are made of mullite (3Al2O3·2SiO2) is a high-alumina refractory material with a predominantly crystalline phase. Generally, the alumina content is between 65%~75%. In addition to mullite, the mineral composition also contains a small amount of glass phase and cristobalite in the lower alumina content; Those with higher alumina content also contain a small amount of corundum. The lightweight mullite bricks are made of imported tabular corundum and high-purity fused corundum as the main raw materials, and the advanced ultra-fine powder addition technology is applied to the mixing, drying and molding, and fired in a high-temperature shuttle kiln. Mullite lightweight bricks are widely used in slag gasification furnaces, synthetic ammonia secondary conversion furnaces, carbon black reaction furnaces and refractory kilns and other equipment. The appearance size, physical and chemical indexes and service life of the products meet the requirements of customers.

Mullite bricks have high refractoriness, up to more than 1790°C. The starting temperature of load softening is 1600~1700°C. The compressive strength at room temperature is 70~260MPa. Good thermal shock resistance. There are two types: sintered mullite bricks and fused mullite bricks. Sintered mullite bricks are made of high-alumina clinker as the main raw material, adding a small amount of clay or bauxite as a binding agent, and forming and firing. Fused mullite bricks are made of bauxite, industrial alumina and refractory clay as raw materials, and charcoal or coke fines are added as reducing agents, and are manufactured by reducing electrofusion after molding. The crystallization of fused mullite is larger than that of sintered mullite, and the thermal shock resistance is better than that of sintered products. Their high-temperature performance is mainly determined by the alumina content and the uniformity of the mullite phase with the glass distribution.
