Brief description of ramming materials

Ramming material refers to an amorphous refractory material constructed by manual or mechanical methods and hardened under heating above room temperature. It is made by mixing refractory aggregates, powders, binders, admixtures with water or other liquids with a certain gradation. According to material classification, there are high alumina, clay, magnesium, dolomite, zirconium, and silicon carbide carbon refractory ramming materials.
The ramming material is a loose material made from silicon carbide, graphite, and electrically calcined anthracite as raw materials, mixed with various ultra-fine powder additives, and electrically melted cement or composite resin as binders. Used to fill the gap between the cooling equipment of the furnace body and the masonry or as filling material for the leveling layer of the masonry. Ramming materials have good chemical stability, erosion resistance, wear resistance, peeling resistance, heat shock resistance, and are widely used in metallurgy, building materials, non-ferrous metal smelting, chemical industry, machinery and other manufacturing industries!
Acidic, neutral, and alkaline ramming materials are widely used in coreless intermediate frequency furnaces and cored induction furnaces. As ramming materials for intermediate frequency furnaces, they are used to melt gray cast iron, ductile iron, malleable cast iron, ductile iron, and cast iron alloys, as well as carbon steel, alloy steel, high manganese steel, tool steel, heat-resistant steel, stainless steel, aluminum and its alloys, and copper alloys such as copper, brass, white copper, and bronze
