During the construction process, the dry anti-seepage material is directly laid on insulation bricks, and after compaction, cathode carbon blocks are directly placed on the upper part. This dry material replaces refractory bricks and alumina masonry.
The effect of dry materials can lower the temperature of the lower part of the electrolytic cell shell, reducing the deformation and damage of the cell shell. It can also prevent electrolyte leakage at the bottom and sides, and the dry anti-seepage material construction is simple. It can be directly spread flat on the foundation layer and vibrated with a vibrator to achieve compression ratio. Moreover, dry materials will form a layer of nepheline at high temperatures, which can prevent the downward infiltration of aluminum liquid. Especially during secondary groove repair, the bottom insulation layer can be reused without the need to replace the lower insulation layer.
Dry anti-seepage material is placed on the insulation layer at the bottom of the furnace. The first layer of the furnace bottom is 65mm calcium silicate board, and after the calcium board, there are two layers of 130mm lightweight insulation bricks. Then, the dry material is laid. Along the length of the groove bottom, three layers of 230mm wide lightweight insulation bricks and wooden boards are also laid, and dry anti-seepage material is filled. Then, a layer of plywood is added to the dry anti-seepage material, and a vibrator is used to vibrate on the plywood. When installing the cathode carbon block, a layer of 20mm thick dry anti-seepage material is scattered on the surface, which is scraped flat with a horizontal ruler. This way, the cathode carbon block can be fully placed on the dry material to prevent electrolyte from falling. Infiltrate downwards.
The anti-seepage casting material is used on the side wall of the aluminum electrolysis tank, with strong overall function of the lining. The anti-seepage material is constructed by casting method, and water is added and stirred during construction, and vibration is used to vibrate the construction. After construction, it can quickly heat up without baking. The characteristic of anti-seepage casting material is its resistance to corrosion of cryolite and aluminum liquid, high strength, and good thermal shock stability.
The characteristics of anti-seepage castable are high strength, low thermal conductivity, and strong resistance to penetration. Its function is to prevent the infiltration and corrosion of aluminum liquid and electrolyte, and it can also be used in electrolytic cells. During the use of anti-seepage materials, they react with metal ions in the electrolyte, forming a barrier and playing an anti-seepage role.
