Chrome Corundum Brick plays an important role in many high-temperature industrial application scenarios, and its service life is a key factor in measuring its performance and cost-effectiveness.

1. The temperature of the use environment is the primary influencing factor. In a high temperature environment, the crystal structure inside the Chrome Corundum Brick will change. If it is in ultra-high temperature conditions for a long time, such as in some advanced glass melting furnaces, the temperature continues to exceed its tolerance limit, which will accelerate the softening and deformation of the brick body and greatly shorten its service life. Generally speaking, the loss rate of the brick body may increase exponentially with each increase in temperature.
2. Chemical erosion should not be ignored. During the steel smelting process, there are many chemical substances in the furnace, such as iron oxide and calcium oxide. The components in Chrome Corundum Brick may react chemically with these substances to generate new compounds. These new substances may destroy the original structure of the brick body, form a loose layer, and cause the strength of the brick to decrease, thereby affecting the service life.
3. Mechanical stress also affects its life. In some kilns, mechanical effects such as impact, friction of materials, and vibration during equipment operation are constantly applied to Chrome Corundum Brick. Frequent mechanical stress will cause cracks in the brick body. Once these cracks occur, they will continue to expand and eventually break the bricks and make them unusable.
Fourth, the quality of the brick body itself is the fundamental factor that determines the service life. If the purity of the raw materials does not meet the standards and the sintering process is unreasonable during the manufacturing process, the Chrome Corundum Brick produced may have inherent problems such as high porosity and poor crystal development. Then it will be more easily damaged during use, and the service life will inevitably be shortened.
