Acid resistant castables are usually made from acid resistant aggregates such as silica, cast stone, wax stone, diabase and other particles, as well as acid resistant material powders such as waste silica bricks, silica, waste porcelain, cast stone, etc., as fine powder, and water glass as a binder. The modulus of water glass is between 2.6 and 3.2, and the density is between 1,38 and 1.42g/m. The addition amount is usually between 13% and 16%. Using sodium fluorosilicate as a coagulant, add 10% to 12% of the mass of water glass solution. This type of acid resistant casting material has low cost and good acid resistance. It is widely used in furnace linings or chimneys in metallurgy, chemical industry, etc. However, it has poor corrosion resistance to phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and high fatty acids.
